It's been awhile since we've done this...

Ashley was almost named
Paige. (Sierra was a close third). However, now I can't imagine her called anything but Ashley.

Actually, we thought we'd name Kylie Macie, but Macy Gray got popular at the same time and we didn't want everyone to think of her laugh.gif

I still really kick myself for not naming one of the girls after my grandmother, Lilly. And I really wanted Colt's name to be Jack but DH has had Colt picked out since he knew about making babies rolling_smile.gif

My tops for Erin were Amber and Autumn, but I was afraid she would be teased later because of the Amber alert and dh didn't like Autumn. He liked Sydney but our last name starts and ends with the S sound so I thought that was too many S's. So we settled on Erin Sydney.

For Jacob I liked Caleb and I didn't want Jacob because it was the most popular name (although I do love the name, but being a Mary in a catholic school with four others in the class I wanted something more unique) but when he was born, dh said "he's a big boy and he needs a manly name like Jake", and so i was (but not for a day or so blush.gif ) How can you deny a man the right to name his pride & joy? wub.gif

I had always wanted to name my little girl Audrey Ana Michelle. My husband at first wanted to name her Alexandra (we would call her Lexi or Ali). One day he came home and said he wanted to name her Morgan (could be used for girl or boy). It really fits her so well.

I don't remember for Ben. Alexis was what he would have been named if he were a girl, With Al, we found out what we were having and she was Alexis since that day.
I really love the names Belanna, and Taylah but they are names from Si-Fi shows and were totally not happening. laugh.gif

Dylan was almost a Bryan but the nurses and doctors when he was born decided he looked more like a Dylan - now he is simply known as Dilly Pickle rolling_smile.gif

Sophia was going to be Sophia Rose (after DH's grandmother) but we went with Sophia Cameron instead.

Nora was almost Macy, too! Funny.

I had always wanted to name a son Tripp after some dear friends who were not able to have children. It just so happened that DH was a Jr so it worked out to name him Charles Gary III and call him Tripp.

I've wanted to name my baby girl Katie Grace for as long as I can remember - DH didn't get a say!!!

We're all up in the air on the name for this one though - probably be a poll out soon to get yalls opinion rolling_smile.gif

Alyssa was always alyssa or Dalton if she had been a boy (but I'm pretty sure we would have changed our minds on the name)

For Autumn I really like Addison before we found out what we were having BUT I have met a LOT of new addisons born last year so she didn't have a name until we found out what we were having

Aww, I call my Dylan--Dill Pickle too!

He was always Dylan. Tom suggested the name I agreed and that was that. Peyton was Anderson for a couple months, but no body in our family liked it so we finally decided on Peyton. If he was a girl he would have been Ella Rose-- Rose after my grandma.

Wil's actual name is Richard William, and we always knew that. I did like Alec for him, but we wanted to continue the family name (DH is Richard the 6th, Wil is the 7th).

For Wesley, I think we really liked Kyle and also Alex. And then for a while he was going to be Adam. But we both agreed on Wesley and we have Adam as his middle name instead (again after DH who is Richard Adam). wink.gif

Miabella was either Anastasia or Sophia. Then DH came up with Miabella and fell in love with it's meaning. We had a hard time with boys names because DH wanted a girl so bad but he emailed me the other day and said if (IF) we have a boy then he found the perfect name but he swore me to secrecy. rolleyes.gif

I wanted Ashton Kale(after my nieces) but as soon as I found out I was preggo I knew a girl would be Emily Elaine. We had never really talked about a boy's name even though we both wanted a boy first. I really wanted Mason for Aiden but that was a no go. He seriously wanted Hal and I am not kidding. There was no way in He... my child was going to be named Hal. Once again we really didnt have a girls name we always talked about boys names. I liked Grace though. Eventually with veto power from me we decided on Aiden and it could not be any other way because it means fiery spirit and wow...that is so true.

We've had our kids names picked out since we were dating. wub.gif Maddie is named after my Nanie, Madeleine Estelle. We always loved the name Ethan (before it was even popular) and he is named after his daddy. Ethan Scott. Of course we had to have a girls name picked out when we got pregnant with Ethan, so we chose Emma Rebekah. That was Scotty's paternal grandmother's name. Maddie is named after my paternal grandmother so we thought that would be cool.

If Maddie had to rename herself, she would choose Ashley for a name. She LOVES that name. All of her dolls are named Ashley. tongue.gif wub.gif What's funny is, that was MY favorite name when I was a child and I always assumed I would have a daughter named Ashley. happy.gif

BUT, we are finished. No more kids for us. I'm pleased with the names I have chosen and like you said Dee Dee, I can't imagine them being named anything else. wub.gif
