I don't mean intellegent wise, I mean like just spacey.

Robbie and his friend (his mom has brought this up to us before), just seem to be so out to lunch some days.

You ask them a question and you have to repeat it three times before they understand even if you're looking straight at them blink.gif

Do they stare off in space? Does it take a bit before you get their attention?

Do you sometimes think they're "blonde", sorry ladies no harm intended, I just needed something to compare it to.

My boy isn't a teenager yet, but I've noticed this with Nikka. I tried to figure it out for awhile and then gave up rolling_smile.gif

lol, Troy, so sadly true. My 16 yo is beyond the spacey stage and has now moved into the diabolical stage.

I had a friend who did that a lot. Often, she would just reflexively say "huh?" right after I said something. Then a half second later, she would realize that she did hear me, say "Oh..." and respond. I felt like saying, "Why don't you take a deep breath, clear your mind, and try to actually concentrate on what I just said?"

But for some teenager it's quite normal especially if they don't want to respond from what you're talking about.

Or may mean- forcing you to repeat what you just said, even though he heard it the first time. It says "He can make you do his bidding just by grunting in your direction. He owns you." Also, it gives them time to think of something to say back to you, ensuring that his response is appropriately witty, interesting and informative.

Add Russell to this category...forget the teenager thing...just boy thing. If it doesn't have anything to do with food, Batman or Star wars....he isn't listening.
