Ok ladies.... I need a QUIET hair dryer. The one we have now is so noisy. When I'm getting ready in the morning I try to be quiet so Michelle and the babies won't wake up.
Got any suggestions? -------------------- Convincing the world that the only way to solve the ongoing issues while raising children is PERSISTENCE. You have to keep trying things and not give up........ they eventually go away on their own. ;-)

I am no help, I have a hair dryer but the only reason I use it is to dry the dogs after I give them a bath.

I think "quiet blow dryer" is an oxymoron

I would normally agree, but last time I got my hair cut, the lady had a really quiet hair dryer, so I know one exists. I don't remember the name though. -------------------- Convincing the world that the only way to solve the ongoing issues while raising children is PERSISTENCE. These all say "quiet", but I don't think spending $80+ on a hair dryer is in the cards for me...... ever.

I didn't think there was such a thing. If you figure out...let me know. Mine is horribly loud and I need a new one anyways.

Yeah, you would have to get salon quality and they are really expensive. Sally Beauty Supply would probably have one less expensive, though. Just go in and ask someone they are very helpful and have a great return policy.

This is sortof an old post...but did you find one DV? I tried my friend's Chi (is that what they're called?) the other day and loved it! Quiet and did a really great job, light weight too.

No, I haven't yet... Costco had one of those "ion" dryers for cheap, but we haven't been as happy as we usually are with Costco purchases.

Yes, Chi is the brand. They are expensive. I think over $100, but I do admit that I LOVED it. I typically buy my hairdryers at Target. I go for middle of the road. Definitely one with a low and high heat. I have had some more quiet than others. They tell you on the box, but I'm not always sure it's the truth. You can always try it out, save your receipt. The other option would be to get one of those towels that somehow take most of the water out of your hair. Don't know the name, but they remind me of a shammy that you would use on a car. :lol:That of course would be the least noisy!

Lol... Zach asked if he could get a shamwow for christmas when we were at walmart the other day.. I didn't know WHAT he was talking about, I thought he was trying to say "Chamois"... which is pronounced the same as Shamwow, except with an Ah sound instead of the Ow sound... and chamois is expensiiiiive... i said no way..
