all i can say is i am profoundly insuleted by the topic tittle as it generalizes that all young parents raise and condone this kind of behavior from thier children.

I was 17 when i had mya and would never raise her to be this way.

poor kid. i am surprised CPS is not intervening here. i hope he gets the help he needs.

Nadia, i don't think she meant every young parent would allow this, just that many young parents lack the support and guidance they need when in difficult situations like a divorce with a small child. one of the moms here i admire most was a young mom. wink.gif

I agree, probably a generalization.

Many of us were young moms, but I wouldn't say any of *us* were children.

i know you ment no harm and I appologize for taking it so harshly. hug.gif
Teen parenting is under a social microscope. it's soo important that there is attention paid to the good teen parents out there as much as there is the bad ones. Stories like this effect every teen parent. Once some people read articles like this they will create an opinion and the next time they are face to face with a teen parent, may assume they are like this parent in the ariticle. thus perpetuating the sterotype and placing more people to be less understanding tward teen parents. The support teen parents get is not only important that it comes from the families but from the community as well. As with all things there is good and bad. I hope this parent learns from the bad and other parents (teens and adults) learn as well. so in end it isnt tward anyone but the media whom angers me. Because they focas so much on the negitive.

My aunt and uncle are in their 40's and they have a 12 yr old son that they have allowed to smoke cigars since the age of 7! Then I recently found out that their older son was caught drinking, so the mom forced him to drink a whole fifth to get sick from it to teach him a lesson. Disgusting!
