How close were you to the WTC when that happened?

i didnt go near it, i just got that rock like 2 weeks ago. my brother went to this girls house and she gave him it; i have no idea why

I eat dessert every single night after the kids go to bed, I seriously can't sleep if I don't, it's usually brownies but any sweets will do.

Most of the people who know me IRL tell me I am the dumbest smart person they know, b/c my brain is overloaded and I do really stupid stuff on a daily basis

The Polish side of my family was royalty back in the day. I haven't convinced anyone else I'm really a princess yet

I'm an avid reader.

If I like a movie, I will watch it endlessly until DH hides it from me.

I go deaf when I'm asleep, can't hear anything but the kids or the dogs.

FINALLY, someone who gets it

There is actually kind of a funny story on my maiden name related to that....my dad's dad passed away when he was young, and my grandma remarried the grandpa I knew, who was in the Air Force. She'd already had my dad, and our Polish last name was so long they couldn't fit it on his military ID He didn't want to be adopted by his stepdad in order to take his last name, so they shortened it, and had his name legally changed, so the last name I grew up with was pretty much just made up by the military

Okay, gotcha! I just don't get why they put them in the box....

Here's a bit about me:

I get excited to read cookbooks or flip through foodie magazines or shop at fancy grocery stores. Excited, as in butterflies in the stomach.
I love the beach, not necessarily going in the ocean, but being there just makes me feel like a kid again, completely relaxed. I would take it over snow anyday!
I have gone through my share of bad style phases...that I won't mention.
I have my BA in art and I used to be a fairly decent painter. It's been over 10 years since I picked up a brush though.
I like foreign films and hate horror movies.
At 17, I was water skiing and fell hard on my face...leaving the right side of my face temporarily paralyzed for about four weeks...they call it bells palsy. I looked like I had a permanent frown on my face at all times, even if the left side was smiling!
I yell at my kids more than I would like. And I let them play with our spare change jar (happening as I type). I know it's gross, but they like it.
I fell in love at first sight with my DH and just knew we were destined to be married.
I have been to more countries in Europe than I have been to states in the US.
I would be okay if I never went horseback riding, snowboarding, or skydivng again in my life. Bunging jumping too, won't do it. Horses scare me.
I wear gloves on my hands when at home so that I won't bite my nails (already confessed this).
I have done several drugs that I am not so proud of doing.
I am obsessed with keeping my house picked up at all times. First thing I do in the morning is start picking up.
I too hate the shower curtain left open...And I also hate the toilet cover open, and the blinds left closed all day, and the tv or lights left on. The list goes on....I'm anal.
I worry that moving back to CA, close to family, will put me backwards in my life. So I worry we may be making a HUGE mistake.
I worry that I will never have enough money to travel and see the world. I guess my fear is not being able to fulfill my dreams before I die.
I LOVE to dance and I think I'm pretty good at it!

okay... things about me...

I have been a member here for over 2 years and don't know everyone's names yet. when ever siggys and avitars change I get confused.

I checked my post count and only 19 other people here have posted more than me, after me is Denise, and I feel the need to post a bunch so she doesn't "catch" me. what is THAT all about?

I am super shy, and terrible in social situations

I am a really sarcastic person.

I have never ever tried beer, smoked or done any illegal drugs.

I used to dream that I could do the splits.

My parents had me so scared of getting PG when I was growing up that I was to freaked out to tell them when I was PG with Ben. They didn't find out until I was 12 weeks, and I was petrified. Even tho I had been married for years.

I have anxiety attacks all the time.

I have a worm farm in my basement.

I love the monkeeys, and the partridge family, and have their CD's.

I LOVE to do laundry, but HATE putting it away.
I never swear--unless I've had a few too many drinks.
I almost drowned as a child and to this day I can't swim in the pool unless I can touch the bottom.
I have 3 tattoos and want 1 more.
I've never been fishing.
I've lived in 3 states. Ohio, Georgia and now Kentucky.
I LOVE to sleep. There's nothing that a nice looong nap won't fix.
I really like the new Miley Cyrus song.
I too hate the blinds being closed all day. First thing I do in the morning is open them.
I am very airheaded. Not something I'm proud of--but very true.
I've never smoked a cigarette in my life.

i hate the taste of wine
im the tallest one in my family and im only 5'8

i kept every hall pass from the first day of school of this year to current in a big jar
ive made magazine covers and cd album jackets and people think they're real
i use 1/8th of my cell phone minutes
ive only had 3 relationships; the longest relationship was almost 20 months and the shortest was less than a month
i hate abbreviating things
the only good things on tv now are the shows on pbs
i have an outtie
i have 4 jackets and i have yet to wear one so far this year
i have one of those huge brick cell phones from 1997
all my custom member titles on the board 75% of the time are led zeppelin songs, the other ones are just random songs in my itunes
i check the perry bible fellowship religiously (no pun)
