I am back from my meeting with the fitness instructor. WOW -- I learned so much. I didn't realize how important it is to maintain your goal heart rate when working out. I had been going too fast on the machines, making my heart rate too high and I was burning sugar instead of fat. After the workout with this instructor, I feel energized instead of drained. I am glad I met with him... I am anxious to see if I get any results in the program.

It's amazing isn't it. I don't have time to go to a gym, but I plan to as soon as I save some money have a personal trainer come to the house and sort of 'tweak' my workout routine to make sure I'm doing everything effectively.

yeah. I didn't know that about the heartrate either. The machines at our gym have heart rate monitors on them and now that I know what range to keep it in, my workouts have been better. I was overdoing it before too and I'd end up not going back because I felt so bad. I never got the exercise high until I was doing it right either. I just got exercise sick. LOL

Exactly... well said. I would even get headaches sometimes after working out. I didn't understand why people "enjoyed" working out. Now, I think my work outs will go so much better. If anyone else is like me and has never spoken to an trainer/instructor then I highly recommend it! -------------------- |
