dry.gif I am extremely frustrated. I have been sick since the September long weekend. I am always getting sick with flus and colds. People have recommended Vitamin C and Red Tea. I plan to pick that up once I recieve my cheque. But is there any other way to boost your immune system?

laugh.gif No problem with the sleep, but I feel so drained that I don't want to even go for a walk.

I know the feeling, but once you push yourself to START, you'll start feeling better quickly.

Also, watch what you eat. Eating a balanced diet will make you FEEL better too. Vit C comes in many other foods then oranges. Many of them have tons more Vit C!! I'll scan a page and post it so you can see some of the ones I'm thinking of.

Echinacea and green tea are supposed to help too, and Rae reminded me of a vitamin C drink I really love, Emergen-C. You just add it to water and it makes a fizzy drink. It gives me a great energy boost too.

Hope you start feeling better soon hug.gif

thumb.gif Thanks everyone! I'm going to make a list of those foods and supplements that will help. I'm leaning against getting a flu shoot right now. Maybe once I'm healthier I will be able to get the flu shoot.

Like Monica mentioned, that Emergen-C drink really works wonders! Adding zinc and echinacea does too. You can buy echinacea in liquid form and drop it in your drink or tea. Or they sell plenty of teas with it already in it (the liquid is the most potent though). Sucking on zinc lozenges helps. My mom swears by the Airborne stuff (the efervecent (sp?) tablets that were invented by a school teacher). I don't like them as much as Emergen-C, but both work if you take them in time.

Eat a sensible balanced diet (e.g. eat a nice colorful salad once a day), light exercise and plenty of rest.

Snack on fruits and veggies instead of cookies, sugar etc.

Lysine! Seriously is it the best for this. And also if you take when you feel something coming on it doesn't last as long and usually isn't as bad. I get it at Wal-Mart for like $5 for a bottle of 100. I cannot begin to tell you how much it has helped me since I started taking it, my mom have taken it for some time and she never gets sick. Feel better honey. hug.gif
