I started AF on Sunday night, and started my very first pack of BC pills the same day. It is now day 3 and I am bleeding like I've never bled before! I'm soaking through super tampons within 2 hours. I used to have one heavy day during AF, but this is crazy Let's just say I'm glad I'm wearing black pants to work today
Is this because of the pill? I wouldn't think that I would be bleeding so heavily THIS cycle... the pill shouldn't affect the amount of blood now, should it? -------------------- The Administrators of the Parenting Club take violators of the Terms of Service Agreement seriously. If anything, you should have a lighter flow on the pill. Maybe a call to the dr would ease your mind?
Everyone I know has had wacky periods lately, including myself. |

Hmm, that is weird. I'd call your doc, too.
When I started back on pills I didn't have any heavier of a flow, but it took several months before the flow diminished some. -------------------- ~*Karen*~

Yeah the pill should diminish your flow, could be because they haven't kicked in if you just started taking them. But I'd call your doc to be safe

I called my doc and they said it could take up to 3 months for my body to normalize to the bc pill. I'm on the pill that is supposed to shorten the duration of your AF, but since I've only been taking it for a few days I figure my body is still getting rid of what I built up BEFORE I started taking it. I'll give it another month before I really panic
