I have hemmorhoids, I got them when I was pregnant, some of you may even remember me complaining while I was preg with Emma and I even had to have a surgical procedure done when I was about 34 weeks along.....
anyway, It is starting to bother me again, since went running the other day. I don't know if the running had anything to do with it, or it was coincendental, but it hurts to sit, and it is generally sore and annoying I bought all the otc products and they help a bit, but not really I have an appointment tomorow with a GI doc, as a follow up to all the tests I had done for my stomach.... can he help me? or do I just wait it out? will it eventually feel better? or should I call the doc who did the procedure on me when I was pregnant? he is a general surgeon that my OB referred me to any advice? -------------------- ~*~*~*~Edie, Jason 9/23/02, and Emma 11/19/06~*~*~*~

No advice here either, I've had them off and on but never to the degree they're bothering you. I hope you can find some relief.

thanks for all the hugs and well wishes, I went to the doc today, he said that I have a thrombossed hemmrohoid (same thing that I had when I was preg with Emma) He gave me some supposotries (ugh) and some cream and said that if it isn't better in a few days, call a vascular surgeon.
He did say that it may have been aggrevated by running on the treadmill, thats just great, I'mm destined to be fat!!! he also went over some of the bloodwork that I had done and he said everything looked normal but it one of the tests showed that I may be allergic to gluten and he wants me to go for further blood tests. I guess that would explain the stomach aches and frequent BMs that I have -------------------- ~*~*~*~Edie, Jason 9/23/02, and Emma 11/19/06~*~*~*~

DH will probably kill me if he finds out I am discussing his roids, but here it goes. He had something similar (it could be the same or not...I don't recall what he said). TMI WARNING: His Dr prescribed a medication that actually has a very small tip (shaped like a nasal spray bottle, but much skinnier) that he was able to slightly insert and that helped more than just the creams on the outside. He also had him drink one glass a day of Metamusell (sp). I don't know if that would be a good idea if you are already having freguent bm's. He thankfully didn't have to have surgery on his like his Dr said would probably happen.
Good luck. I know they suck. |
