How long did each of you wait to start working out after your kids were born?
After Lorelei I felt like crap for months, so I didnt' start "working out" until she was about 3-4 months old. This time I feel like I'm ready now. Should I wait for my 6 wk checkup though? My bleeding has stopped, and I feel fine, just flabby. OH!! And when on earth did you find the time with 2 or more kids?? I think Lorelei will have to work out with me in the mornings while Lex sleeps. That aught to be interesting. -------------------- Erika

I basically started with walking about 4 weeks after I had Logan. I think that you should wait for 6 weeks before starting an ab routine, though.

I agree with Kelly. Put the kids in a stroller and go for a walk. I got my okay from my doctore at 6 wks. I waited for 18 mos.

I waited until my 6 weeks check up to make sure I was all healed. Then I put Jason in the stroller and walked.

Well, I waited about 6 months but I think you can start a little earlier than that
As for exercising with 2 - mine exercise with me when they're up. The other day I did an exercise video and Brooke was like "yea mommy we dance!" and trying to imitate the moves. Madison just stood there shaking her little butt and trying to jump up and down. I got more exercise out of the laughing than the video itself . |

Well, I took your advice and went for a long walk with the girls today. I feel energized and tired all at the same time. Go figure! I was great to get out of the house....but it was a pain in the butt to get the girls ready and out the door. But we walked almost 2 miles today. Walked over to the park and let Lorelei play on the play ground (she was really cute), and then walked all the way home. I must say...I was sweating like a little piggy!! It was GREAT!! I love to sweat though I'm sucha freak! Hopefully, I'll get to do this everyday for awhile...or until the weather turns nasty anyway.
