I'm sure all of us have stuff we'd just like to get rid of if someone else could use it - or is just willing to get it out of our hair!!! Could we have a forum dedicated to this?

You could always post your items in the Coupon, Swaps and Freebies.

Thats a good idea, I have stuff I'd love to pass on to someone here, just didn't know how to go about it!

I guess I just always thought of the Freebies as websites where you could get free stuff. And I know I hate looking through all the swaps and things - with dial-up opening each post can get to be a hassle. They have a FFS forum on another board that I am part of and it's really cool - and I think brings out a little generousity in people. Instead of throwing away stuff it lets them offer it to others who might could use it - free of charge.

But we could just post a thread in the Coupons, Swaps and Freebies forum and it wouldn't be like having to click links or go to other sites, right?

I need to get my junk organized and then I'll post there what I've got.

Unfortunetly I think that would be up to the poster how they wanted to advertise their JUNK for sale. Sometimes it's just easier to post a link instead of rewriting a whole other blurb.

Not to mention that if someone has something for sale, then there's no real choice but to open up their post. I guess I just don't know what you mean, because even if there a different forum, it's still the same people posting. Sorry, dunno.

I guess I was thinking if I had a bunch of girls clothes I'd just post a thread that described them and maybe some pics and what the shipping would be. I think the concept of what bamamom was saying is that it's free to whoever wants it, they just have to pay shipping more than an ebay listing or something like that. But I think the coupons, swaps and freebies is the place to do it.

Coupons, Swaps and Freebies is the correct forum to offer things for swap, even if it is swapping for nothing other than shipping or such.

Also, FreeCycle is a great place to get rid of things and give them to people in your area. You list the item(s) for the taking, they e-mail you and you can make arrangements with whoever to come pick the items up. Everything listed is 100% free. I have gotten rid of a lot of things this way.

It is an city by city group under Yahoo! Groups.
