Well, today is going to be the first day (again) of my journey to get back in shape. I have been struggling with a lack of motivation. I decided last night to start again today and then woke up, had coffee, and 2hrs. later still have not had breakfast. I just got on the scale and am up to 130!!!!! To some this may not seem like a big weight but on my body it is not pretty. I am the fattest I have ever been, not the heaviest, but the fattest. I'm really sad about this.

I am going to be using SparkPeople to try and stay motivated. When I was using that and logging everything I did really well but as soon as I quit, I started slacking and have actually gained more. Now I know I am bloated right now but still.... If anyone wants to check out this site, I highly recommend it. You can log everything from what you eat to exercises. It will calculate your bmi also. I recommended it to my sisters and they put it off but when they started using it they also got more motivated. You can look at other peoples pages and there are so many people on there who have lost significant amounts of weight and changed their lives. That to me is the best part of it. I also like the teams that you can join and lose weight together with special challenges and whatnot.

So I'm putting a number out there to you guys so that I will want to come back and report a change. Here is a link to that site.... I can't figure out how to put it in the hyperlink so you will have to copy and page...but I think this is the link that will automatically make you a friend on my page if you register.... I need all the motivators I can get....

Well pooh! You can also just go to the main page and then my page is LFLFLPLP so you could do a search of pages. But you don't need to find me or anything to sign up. You can just look around. You can have them give you a diet plan, exercise plan, or just do what you want which is what I do.

Best of luck to you Jeanie!!! I know how hard it can be to get and stay motivated, but it is well worth it. Not only for losing weight, but just to feel better and be healthier. hug.gif

I totally get what you mean. I hate being "soft." I'm a weights kinda gal. As long as I'm fit, lean and muscular, I really don't read the scale. It's all in how I feel.

You'll get it back. I know motivation plays the biggest part in it. My favorite saying right now is "I will never regret going to the gym, but I will regret NOT going." Of course you work out from home right?

Sparkpeople is a great site!! thumb.gif

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

I do. You would think that would make it easier but it seems like it just makes it easier to put off. I'm always thinking, well I just do it after ***** and then I'm too tired or too busy, whatever convenient excuse I can come up with.

I will definitely keep you all posted! Thanks for the vote of confidence!!

Well, the end of week 1. I lost 2 lbs!!! Mostly from cutting down on amounts and it felt like I haven't gotten to sit around as much because with school starting I've just been so busy.

I was just excited to have lost some!
