Parenting Club Forums > September Through December Clubhouse > Emma is soooo congested

Posted by: ediep Sep 10 2007, 01:52 AM
poor thing, can't breathe through her nose at all. She gets so frustrated when she is drinking a bottle because she has to stop to breathe.

she had a horrible night sleep, she is so cranky and to top it off she is teething.

I am sure she cought something from the gym daycare last week, man do I feel guilty

I think I'll call the doc today but since its only 5:30am and we are up and very cranky I have to wait a bit......., but any advice to help my poor miserable baby?

My son gets this way every time he cuts teeth. I really like the Johnson's vapobath to help relieve congestion. It worked wonders for us. I hope Emma feels better soon.

Infant Tylenol Cold - works great but be careful - it can make her hyper - with Olivia is never did but with Dylan well - let's just say he could breathe but didn't get much sleep laugh.gif

just got back from the doc, he said to give her tylenol or motrin if she runs a temp or feels unconfortable, she has fluid in one ear, but no infection. He cleaned her ears out...man she freaked out and cried all the way home!!! Poor thing, that must really hurt!!!

she drank about 5oz bottle and now is napping in her crib. I put the humidifer on in her room so hopefully, she will be able to breathe easier.

Jason leaves for school in an hour and then I'll get to rest up too.

When my daughter is sick I give her fruits such as bananas apples and grapes they seem to help the immune system fight the cold faster. HTH
