OK, so lately (last few days maybe?) I've had pain in my upper uterus area. Especially sore if I try and carry Isabelle around any at all. She's about 16 lbs at this point, so not super heavy. And honestly, I can't get around NOT carrying her. There are times when there's nobody around but me and she can't walk yet, and won't crawl where I want her!
Anyway, the pain is really close to my belly button. Not crampy or anything like that. No bleeding, spotting or anything either. Liam's moving around just fine. Its kind of like a sore "ripped" feeling. I DO have a 4 or 5 inch scar from a stomach surgery in 2006 right there starts at my belly button and goes up. And that's kind of where it hurts. Any ideas? -------------------- |

Hmmm...either nobody is on or nobody has any ideas Figures.
A little more description. Almost feels like a 'stitch' in my side, but not in the side. On vacation we walked a LOT (I didn't carry anything) and got that kind of cramp on the lower right side of my belly. Now its mostly right around my belly button. Could he just be kicking me and making it sore from the inside? I think that's unlikely I suppose. -------------------- |

The stretching sounds like it could be RLP (Round Ligament Pain), caused by the uterus expanding and making room for baby. Is it like a short pain when you move a sudden way, like a ripping?

No not at all. More of a constant dull pain. RLP I'm familiar w/ It was bad this time. It doesn't feel as bad this morning as last night. But I really haven't had to pick Isabelle up for more then the walk from her bed to the couch for a bottle/diaper change and back again. Seems like THAT and lots of walking makes it hurt. So maybe some weird stretching. This post has been edited by grapfruit on Jun 7 2010, 04:25 AM -------------------- |

I agree with just checking in with the nurse and telling her what you feel, it cant hurt! but maybe while you were on vacation or recently you pulled a muscle ?
I think the fact that you dont have any of the other symptoms you mentioned its a good thing.. -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

sounds like stretching but I would call your doctor and ask just to be on the safe side. I had TONS of wierd stretching and things when I was pregnant with Autumn.. of course with her it was always something that was terribly uncomfortable

All is well. A strained muscle in my stomach. Could of been from anything I suppose. I have to stay home tomorrow (which thrills my coworker b/c he was suppose to be off today and work Sat 9-630, guess who gets to switch w/him now). Basically take it easy.
I'm glad all is well though. They hooked me up to the NST machine and Liam seemed really good. Nice steady strong heart beat. Kicked the crap out of the monitor and there was NO contractions ( ) So just the good old rest to fix it! -------------------- |
