Ok....In the last few weeks (actually about a month now rolleyes.gif ), I'll be nursing Lex and all of a sudden I will get this Overwhelming erge to just bawl my eyes out blink.gif Usually right as I have a let-down of milk, but not always.

It's very strange. I'll be perfectly happy and joking around, and then all of a sudden....WHAM. My eyes start to fill with tears and I just get so sad and want to bawl bawling.gif It will last for about a minute or two, and then I'm fine and back to normal like nothing happened. huh.gif unsure.gif wacko.gif

I feel really strange asking this......mainly b/c it's not really that big of a deal, but it's kinda strange. I've never had this happen before. unsure.gif Anyone else have this strange hormone surge???

It's been a while, but what you describe sounds familiar. That whole first year is kind of a blur to me now---I know I had weepy spells and hormone surges galore. What I'm trying to remember is whether this was connected to BF or just generalized for me. I do think I've heard of this experience from other people, at least.

Yes, all the time. It was before I was actually diagnosed with PPD, so whether or not it was related I don't know.

Yeah, that happens to me too. A couple of weeks ago I was at a parade here in town celebrating our state's 100th birthday and when the high school band marched by I got all choked up and tears were falling, but it was so cold that I just told people that the cold was making my eyes water. But I thought that was wierd.
Sometimes when I am bf I will look at him and get the urge to bawl just stairing at his features and watching him nurse. I think that is just a mother thing.

Oh yeah!! That's a big one too. Watching her nurse seems to contrbute to it, but its usually just with my let downs just a couple times a day. It's really weird wacko.gif

Absolutely. Every now and then when I'm pumping at work, right when I have a let down. I have a huge surge of emotions and feel like I could cry. It only last about 30 seconds though and then I'm fine.

Weird what that can do to you though, huh?

From the time Annika was about 3 months till present I would just out of the blue get teary eyed and want to cry. I don't understand it. I guess it's hormonal but it's really embarrassing to me. I wouldn't have to be nursing though.
