I have whooping cough, I thought this was something only children got, and haven't heard of this for years! I was immunized against it, I guess that didnt do any good.
Have any of you gotten this, how long does it last? I am on antibotics for it, luckily no one in my family have gotten it yet. My Brother in Law had it a month ago. My doctor said it's coming around again and they are seeing more cases of it.
Any info. on whooping cough??

Ann

My best friend's little boy had it (he wasn't immunized). The CDC contacted her and made EVERYONE he had come in contact with go on preventative antibiotics. Apparently, the vaccine is only good for about 12 years, so most adults are no longer resistant. After he started the antibiotics it lasted only a week or so. Sorry this happened to you, and I hope you feel better soon!
