My ears hurt

I noticed the other day my ears were draining some pretty icky stuff and they don't normally drain. Now they HURT. I can't eat or drink or swallow. It could be swimmers ear, right? I'm not running fever, but I feel terrible. I even took a nap and was pretty out of it. They (my ears) feel hot and inflammed right now.

If it's bad enough they will give you an antibiotic to clear it up. It sounds really painful to me. I get really bad earaches with the draining and everyting sometimes when I'm getting a cold.
