My allergies are just HORRIBLE. Just a few minutes ago, I must have sneezed about 20 times. Poor Ashley, she kept trying to say "God Bless you" but couldn't keep up with the sneezes. That, combined with the watery eyes and runny nose... I am miserable.

I have seen the doc about this in the past, and the shots do no good for me. The perscription drugs make me so drowsy that I can't function. (Same with OTC meds)

HELP! Anyone with allergies, have you found any relief?

Zyrtec works best for my daughter and I but Claritan works best for my son. Both are a 24 hour pill and don't cause too much drowsiness. The Claritan much less drowsiness than the Zyrtec. (I've tried both) We take them at night around 3-4 hours before bedtime and then the drowsiness that comes, will come at a perfect time. Works for us!!

It's a bad year for allergies, Dee Dee. I myself don't have them, but dh and Alec both do. Alec takes Nasacort nightly for nasal congestion, and Pulmacort for a chronic asthmatic cough (although both medications worked so well that he doesn't even take them on a regular basis anymore.

I love zyrtec but it can make you tired. I have also used flonase that is good and rhino cort aqua the nasal sprays don't make you drowsy but they take a couple of days to start working.
