Well, I had my appointment with the derm today. She said the spot on my cheek is just an age spot -- bawling.gif I feel old, I'm gettting age spots.

She removed two moles from my stomach for a biopsy. I have to go back to have the stitches removed in two weeks, and I will find out the results then. But, she said she may call if there is something more urgent that we need to discuss. It made me nervous when she said that because it made me think that she thinks it is something to be concerned about. I am probably reading too much into it, but you know me, I am a worrier.

They always say that, Dee Dee. I had a mole removed from my shoulder and biopsied a few years ago, and it was the same deal. It's standard operating procedure for dermatologists. Besides, unless you're a chronic bikini wearer, I'd think moles on your stomach are unlikely to be cancerous anyway. I'm a freak about this kind of stuff too, believe me, but try to chalk it up to your own unreasonable fears rather than any real reason for concern. KUP hug.gif

I think your reading to much into it
She just didnt want you to worrry for nothing for 2 weeks if their is nothing to worry about.
I'm glad you got everything done and the one spot is an age mark and nothing more then that.

Look at it this way Dee Dee were like a good cheese the more it ages the better it is smile.gif I guess that was a good example blush.gif

You mean fine WINE right! Just gets better with age.

Like Jeanne said, standard procedures. Don't read into it. But I would be nervous too. I had my share of scares this last year, so I understand the worry when they say "we'll call you if something is suspicious". I bet the results come back negative. You will be fine!
