Bronze Member Group: Members Posts: 287 Member No.: 4,782 Joined: 19-August 06	I was running on the treadmill today and first this woman comes and takes the treadmill right next to me. There were several others open and as a rule of thumb, I never take the one next to someone else unless it is a friend or there are no other ones open. Oh well, I let that one go. Well, about 5 minutes later, her friend arrives and goes on the other side of me. Then they start having a conversation over me. Mind you, I am running and they are walking. Also, had the original woman taken another treadmill like she should have, they could have been next to each other and not having to shout over me. It was so distracting and inconsiderate. Maybe they don't take excercising seriously, but I do. They continued chatting for in excess of 15 minutes. They are lucky I wasn't PMSing or I would have told them to take it elsewhere. Ugh.

Though I probably would have offered to switch with one of them rather than listen to them talk over me.

Dito! Not rude to take the one next to you IMO, but rude to talk over you. I would have made a lot of nasty stares at them both and then complained to the management (maybe).
