My son will be in 2nd grade this year. He loved pre-school and kindergarten and was excited to go to 1st grade but he seems to have lost his spark for school. I think it is because they had to read and write so much in 1st grade. It wasn't as much fun. He likes to read but they read alot and he absolutely hates writing. Is this normal are should I be concerned that he isn't as excited about going to school this year.
