we had so hoped that andrew wasnt going to have food allergies, but he is starting with the eczema, and the itching and the diarrhea..he is so cranky.
we called our ped today and she said she knows nothing about food allergies, and I havent had lots of luck with allergists so far....so we asked her to just start RAST testing to see what comes back positive and then we can go for skin tests from there.

please pray its not the nuts and only milk...or something a little more managable.

andrew had the testing done, he was upset. they had a hard time finding the vein.
but we should know in a few days if we need to see the allergist...

Oh sweetie, I hope that the results come back negative. You are very knowledgeable on food allergies, so if Andrew has them, I know you will do an amazing job in protecting him. But I'm still hoping that you won't have to deal with it.

I haven't had Wesley tested or have we introduced nuts to him yet. Thanks for the reminder...It may be a good idea I look into this myself. hug.gif

I had asked the dr to rast test andrew for nuts due to jakes allergy and she said no, that if he hasnt tasted them yet, that the test will be false positive or come back neg. when he really might be positive.
so I am so leary of giving him peanut butter.
we are just working on soy or milk and egg right now.
