So me and marcus are 85% sure we are done after this baby. This pregnancy seems to be way harder on my than the others, im having problems with my blood pressure already and such. And he said he would be happy with just 2. We are goign to wait a year after the baby is born and see if we are still feeling this way. And if so then one of us will get fixed. So what do you think is better? Any ideas?

The big V. It is FAR less invasive. And, if you are making the bodily sacrifice of getting pregnant and carrying babies, which we all know is super hard on a woman's body, the very least he can do is get a little snip that will put him out of work for an afternoon. Make him do it. I'm making MY dh do it when the time comes.

I guess it depends on who you ask what one is worse or better...the man or the woman!
my dh thought it was the end of the world..and lucked out when we had to have a c section at the last min..and the just tied my tubes while they were already in there.. I still feel cheated! -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

The vasectomy is the simpler and less invasive of the two so I'd choose that.... which I did.

Snip snip - much less invasive and an easier recovery. But it's almost impossible to reverse so be sure your sure.

oh we will thats why we are waiting to decide and not just jump into it. a part of me is because this pregnancy is getting to be harder than my others. and with the losses i suffered i just dont want to risk any more if i get my 2 healthy kids I will be extremely happy with that as will marcus! -------------------- |

Vasectomy is far less invasive than tubal ligation as already has been said. Even in my case, where there were some complications, due in part because of scar tissue that I had in there from a childhood injury, and in part because the doc hit a nerve with the anesthetic (not uncommon since the nerves are pretty deep there) - I still think it was the best decision even though I was out of commission for about a week.

I had the Tubal - yes the big V is less invasive but I didn't find it horrible either but after two c-sections it was a walk in the park and I got to sleep for 3 days after - when does THAT ever happen!!!!
Either way do what works for you... -------------------- |

DH decided to go ahead with the big V after Claudia was born. He did really well, just make sure you have a lot of ice packs!

If we decided it was our last child (were still un decided on how many we want) and for whatever reason it ended in a C section Id get a tubal liagtion if not I'll make him get snipped.
