I am an intern with the Texas Pregnancy Riskline and I would love to share our amazing service with you! We are the Texas Pregnancy Riskline, also know as the Texas Teratogen Information Service. We offer a free service where you can call with any concerns you might have that may be affecting your unborn baby. A teratogen is any substance such as a drug or chemical agent that can harm an unborn baby. Teratogens can cause birth defects, learning delays, and chronic illnesses in a developing baby. We answer any questions over things such as alchohol, cocaine, cigarette smoking, and some over the counter drugs. We have counselors with 20 + years of experience! Our service has been around since 1996, and we recieve calls from all over the United States. This is also a great service to keep in mind while you are pregnant. We also answer questions about breastfeeding, if you are concerned if a drug, etc will be in the breast milk. The Texas Pregnancy Riskline is based out of the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. *The number is 1-800-733-4727* *The number is 1-800-733-4727* |
