Wow! What a good series. I learned a lot from that and even some thing I never knew before. Just wondering what anyone else thought of it?

Did you ever know the White House was built by slaves? Dh and I were floored by that..that we were never really told that in school. -------------------- ~*Karen*~

I wasn't floored by it. After I realized it I was like DUH! when you think about the times. I think they did a really good job with it. It sounds like something that would be really boring to watch, but I was actually sad when we got to the end, and would like to see the whole series again. |

I was just floored that we were never taught that slaves built such a place. I would think they would teach that. Yeah, it makes sense, but how many people really know that. Just was interesting to us. -------------------- ~*Karen*~

I thought the series was very well done, and I learned a lot as well. I had a little bit of a hard time buying Paul Giaometti as John Adams, but overall, I really liked it.
And about the slaves building the White House, there's A LOT of our history conveniently left out of typical historical accounting of our formative years. -------------------- Jeanne

And I find that very sad. Very sad. Just makes you know that we really know nothing. Makes me feel even more sad for my children because you realize just how much is "left out" in school teaching. Hopefully we can learn as we age and fill in gaps for our children. And yeah, I had trouble with Paul at times as John Adams. -------------------- ~*Karen*~
