Short version:

Dad and 12 y/o daughter were walking at a Fair and a 19-20 y/o boy touched or slapped his daughter on the butt. The father said something to the boy(s) and it quickly turned into a 7 on 1 fight ending with the dad badly beaten.

This world is getting sicker by the day. Its about enough to make me want to move my family into a compound and home school. That poor poor daughter. Having to witness that.

Sickened me too. I'm very curious about how dad's feel too. We want to be our children's protectors and I'm wondering how the dad will feel at the end of all of this.

In this type of situation, it always seems like everyone stands around thinking someone else will step in. In the end, no one does. sad.gif

Makes me sick thinking about it.

I not only would have defended my daughter in the same way that man did, I would have intervened had I seen a similar event unfold before me. Even if it would have turned out badly for me, doing the right thing is sometimes painful.

I hope they all get 20 - 30 years, though it's more likely they'll get a slap on the wrist. At the very least that family should own every one of those animals financially for the rest of their natural lives.

Not that I'm strongly opinionated or anything.

This is scary! 7 against 1 and no one bothered to help the poor man? They were in a public place, somebody should have seen them and could have at least called the authorities. This is so alarming!

Its really pathetic to hear such derogatory condition of our society, where most of the people behave/act like inhumans, though they may have beaten you up, but now you are true hero in your daughter's eye. She will always site your example to everyone, she'll find distress. So don't loose your heart & see a good doctor, to get yourself cured soon.

Well these kind of incidents are taking place with girl child pretty frequently, where a many a times a girl has to give a good fight to saviour themselves. I believe there is a requirement of strict laws to punish these menaces so that can never raise their ugly head again.

This is terrible, how do these people sleep at night. I mean really, Is there no respect or dignity left in our youth. They take advantage of these situations because they know there wont be any strong consequences at the end of it all. I agree with Emily, such acts should be punished. mad.gif
