Ok, so its 9:31am. I'm due to go to the hospital at 9pm tonight to start "the process". Scared? Oh yeah.

So many emotions are running through me. I'm super excited to get to meet her (and finish being pregnant, lol), but super scared about labor. And even more so about bringing home this little girl. I don't know how to take care of a baby! Who am I kidding?? It TERRIFIES me. My friend (w/3) says to calm down, it'll "kick in" and I'll just know what to do. But what if it doesn't???

Ok, this isn't doing much to calm me down any smile.gif

So hopefully by tomorrow Tara will have a picture to show you guys

thumb.gif Good luck!!!! Lots of ELV for you!!!

Your instinct will kick in for sure, but they also show you a lot of the basics at the hospital. I know in our area at least they show you how to change a diaper, umbilical cord care, and how to give the baby a bath.

You'll be great! The labor will go smoothly and you'll have a beautiful healthy baby girl to take home. hug.gif
As for motherly instincts, you will have them, I'm sure. And anything that you're unsure of.... well, that's what we're here for! biggrin.gif We all have moments where we're not 100%, or even 20% sure what to do, and that's where your friends (us included) and your family come in. And if it's 3 in the morning and you can't figure out what's wrong, there's always google...
But I think you'll be amazed at how "un"scary it is once you have her home and make it through that first night.
You'll be a great mom, of that I have no doubt. hug.gif hug.gif baby.gif baby.gif hug.gif hug.gif

Hope you had or having a good labor. You will know what to do once you see her, trust me. I was a very young mom (19; hence the name) when I had my dd and freaked out, but everything turned out OK. hug.gif

I am starting to worry a bit...I hope everything is ok and that she contacts Tara soon with some good news.
Wonder if maybe the hospital wouldn't allow the use of cell phones and that's why she couldn't text?
