Ok, so its 9:31am. I'm due to go to the hospital at 9pm tonight to start "the process". Scared? Oh yeah.
So many emotions are running through me. I'm super excited to get to meet her (and finish being pregnant, lol), but super scared about labor. And even more so about bringing home this little girl. I don't know how to take care of a baby! Who am I kidding?? It TERRIFIES me. My friend (w/3) says to calm down, it'll "kick in" and I'll just know what to do. But what if it doesn't??? Ok, this isn't doing much to calm me down any So hopefully by tomorrow Tara will have a picture to show you guys -------------------- |

Good luck!!!! Lots of ELV for you!!!
Your instinct will kick in for sure, but they also show you a lot of the basics at the hospital. I know in our area at least they show you how to change a diaper, umbilical cord care, and how to give the baby a bath. |

You'll be great! The labor will go smoothly and you'll have a beautiful healthy baby girl to take home.
As for motherly instincts, you will have them, I'm sure. And anything that you're unsure of.... well, that's what we're here for! We all have moments where we're not 100%, or even 20% sure what to do, and that's where your friends (us included) and your family come in. And if it's 3 in the morning and you can't figure out what's wrong, there's always google... But I think you'll be amazed at how "un"scary it is once you have her home and make it through that first night. You'll be a great mom, of that I have no doubt. -------------------- |

Being a mother is something you have wanted for a LONG time which means those insticts are already there so they will kick in so quickly.. its hard sometimes and you don't always know what to do but thats why we are here, and why you call your mother or friends. By now you are WELL INTO the induction process, and or have your baby . Which your worries about motherhood are totally legit but I promise will go away and your instincts will kick right in

Hope you had or having a good labor. You will know what to do once you see her, trust me. I was a very young mom (19; hence the name) when I had my dd and freaked out, but everything turned out OK.

I am starting to worry a bit...I hope everything is ok and that she contacts Tara soon with some good news.
Wonder if maybe the hospital wouldn't allow the use of cell phones and that's why she couldn't text? -------------------- |
