I was up all night with contractions and what not. So this morning I went into the Dr. they went ahead and gave me the first dose of steroids for the baby and will give me the second dose tomorrow at my appt.

Now we are well on our way to a happy healthy baby that can arrive anytime after Thursday and probably go home with us and avoid a NICU stay smile.gif so excited, I can barely stand myself, I am so ready to hold this baby and get him dressed. I got my order from Diapers.com today and we have enough diapers for probably the first month we are so excited!!

I am also going to get DH a spa certificate for a little gift for all he has done the past few weeks (since DH and I can't keep a secret from eachother, he knows) he wants to make it a day thing and go together so we are planning for that about 6 weeks after I have the baby smile.gif getting really excited about being a mommy to three smile.gif

I can hold out as long as the baby wants to but I am done with this false labor stuff smile.gif I am ready for the real deal wink.gif

Good Luck, but honestly I think you're fooling yourself for not preparing for an NICU stay. Lung developemnt is not the only issue that you might have for having a baby to early on, especially 33 or 34 weeks. Even the healthiest baby born at term has issues sometimes. Just be prepared. I hope everything goes well. hug.gif hug.gif hug.gif

OH Marie,
We are totally prepared for it but hoping for the best in this case. He is a big boy and big works for a preemie. We know that there is so much more but the MAJOR things that we can take care of are being taken care of, so the likely hood that he will have a NICU stay isn't slim. When we talk NICU stay we are talking longer term NICU stay, anymore than 2 weeks.

Just praying for the best case scenario, but knowing that things can go wrong and things don't always go as planned smile.gif
