One of my good friends had her baby yesterday so I decided to stop in and visit this morning. Her baby girl is adorable, 6lbs 11oz and so tiny but so cute! So i'm sitting there and shes like "Do you want to hold her Sarah?" and I was like thinking "what?! hold her?! I dont know how to hold a newborn! I am going to drop her or something!" so after some convincing she handed me her baby and she started crying right away so i quickly handed her back to her mom... Now what am I going to do I'm scared of holding a new baby and I will have mine in 2 months! Part of me is sooooo excited thinking how great it will be to finally meet her but the other part of me is thinking STAY IN THERE AS LONG AS YOU CAN I WANT MY FREEDOM! Anyone else have similar thoughts towards the end of their pregnancies?

It is all very overwhelming especially as you get closer to the end...but all I can say is it is completely differant when its your own baby! The mother's insinct will kick right in and you will be inlove!

Don't worry, I was the same way with my first. As soon as it is YOUR baby, it all comes so naturally, my husband was so scared and now he would hold any baby

I agree with what the others said...It's totally different when it's your own baby! I'm still a bit scared to hold other peoples babies although I've had one of my own.

I have only held one newborn in my entire life. My nephew was the first and that was almost 7 years ago. I have a problem with holding other peoples babies. I have been asked numerous times within the past 6 months if I wanted to hold a baby. No, I'll pass. I am a little nervous, but when my baby comes, I am sure that I will be fine.
