Hello, all, Yep, I"m a newbie ... and an oldie

Newbie Group: Members Posts: 6 Member No.: 23,386 Joined: 29-May 11	Hi I just started here, so I'm a newbie. But I"m a grandma helping my single daughter raise her 3 kiddos, ages 7, 3 and 2, so I'm an oldie, too! I've raised 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls, all now 'grown', whatever that means. We were down to one at home, oour 18 year old, but last week moved our college boy home on Tuesday, moved our daughter from her apartemtn and her fiancee from his rental property to a new house on Wednesday and Thursday, witnessed their marriage on Saturday and moved our oldest and her children home on Sunday. WHEW! So we're back up to 8. Wasn't there a TV show about that once? When my guys were little I was a single mom, but God is amazing. He healed my alcoholic husband (and my bitter heart) and reunited us about 8 years ago. So ... we just celebrated our 8th anniversary, we were married in 1984, we have a 23 year old daughter and we'd been married 2 years when she was born. That second marriage can really complcate things! I'm a professional writer, which sounds much more glamourous than it really is. I do a lot of ghost writing, but do have some work published under my own name. I'm a staff writer for a central TX publication and an editor for bellaonline. And, believe it or not, I edit as a side job. Don't judge me too harshly based on this little blurb -- I'm still on my first cup of tea! I have a background in education, having worked in the special education field for about 8 years, and am a part-time children's minister. I love the Lord, but am a lazy and negligent child at times. I love Isaiah, Psalms, Proverbs, James, Philliapians and John in the Bible, and love more than anything teaching 3-6 graders the Word and it's practical applications. I guess that's me. I posted this in another thread, but I am a mom of 2 little ones, Isabelle who just turned 2 (my little rotten girl ) and Liam who just turned 1 (my sweet little lovey boy). I've been married since 10/11/2008, and we've been "together" since 2002. I work full time at a bank as a Personal Banker/Small Business Specialist, which doesn't sound glamourous and isn't! LOL Its not too bad. I love the company and I'm a "lifer" for sure! But I don't know if I'll stay in a sales position forever. I'm hoping to get my husband through school as a Mechanical Engineer and he get a job that pays a darn and be able to go part time. A simple part time teller sounds awesome to me I'll be honest that its hard for me to get on here as much as I used to, simply b/c I get on the internet a lot on my phone instead of the computer. So welcome and again, I apologize and am a bit ashamed at the delay in my response!!!! --------------------
