Hello all,
I have been having lots of BH lately I know they are normal but now my doctor said that he is laying really low and laying on the cervix or something. Now I have to go every two weeks just to make sure I havent dialated. I get about 20-30 BH a day he said im probably getting them because he is so low. Anyone else have this or heard something about it? I never had it with my first so I have no idea.
Thanks
Meg

I had lots of BH with my 1st pregnancy, I don't know if it had anything to do with my cervix, but since the Bh were actually making me dialate he put me on meds to stop the contractions. are you seeing an actual OBGYN or a family pratice doc?

I think you said you are 17 weeks? Yes it's early to have BH contractions, but it does happen. As long as you aren't contracting enough to dialate, you should be fine. I'm glad your doctor is having you come in every two weeks. If your contractions become a lot stronger, or if you have any spotting or feel a lot of pressure, go straight away to the doctor.
My cousin is pg with her 2nd baby, and both pregnancy she started contracting early. They had to put her on medication to stop the contractions, and on bed rest with both pg. It's good that you are being checked out regularly. And if you are dilating or having strong contractions, there is medication you can get on that will stop that. Every person's body is different, and react to pg different. But at least we live in a time where they have medication and ways to stop pre term labor.
Just listen to your body, and if you feel something is wrong, go to the doctor. Even if it's just to get some peace of mind.
Let us know what happens at your next dr. appt.

I am going to a OBGYN and I am almost 23weeks. Im hoping everything progresses good. I really dont want a premiee for obvious reasons. Ive been tring to rest alot and take it easy when I get them but its hard because I always have them atleast a few an hour.

Meg,

I was just thinking about you and wondering how your OB appt went. How are you feeling? Is everything going ok with your pregnancy?

Keep us posted. You're in my thoughts.
