I had my appointment this afternoon. Not much has changed since last week ~ I'm still 2 centimeters dilated but she said that Allie's head is really well engaged and that my cervix is a lot softer. So that's good I guess. She tried to strip my membranes but was having a hard time reaching up in there - she said it was because of how *mushy* everything was but I swear it felt like she was trying to move my pubic bone.
We scheduled an induction for one week from today - so if I don't go into labor on my own then Allie's birthday will be February 20th! She's officially being given her eviction notice. I really hope I go on my own before that because I'd rather not be induced, but I have a feeling that by next week I'll be more than ready. -------------------- |

Tomorrow would be a good day...that's the anniversary of the day I met DH (eleven years ago) Or the 20th is good, too since that's the anniversary of our first date!
Not that you care, you just want her out of there. I'm glad things are progressing and there is an end in sight. I can't wait to meet her. I know she will be so beautiful. |

Lol Aimee you're hilarious. It is nice to know there is a definite end in sight. I think I'd even be willing to wait more than a week before inducing but my sister's first baby was two weeks late and he had a lot of problems right after delivery - they worked on him for a long time and he almost died. I don't know if it has anything to do with how long he was in there but it makes me nervous. On the other hand I was born more than 4 weeks late and I turned out fine. My poor mom was induced 3 times before she finally had me. -------------------- |

Oh my goodness! You all must have a really cozy spot in there for your babies. They don't want to leave. 4 weeks? Wow! How much did you weigh? |

I weighed 9 lbs 14 1/2 oz... not that bad considering. My mom says that I didn't ever look like a newborn though, I didn't have the wrinkly skin and all that. She decided after having me that her body couldn't handle having any more kids. -------------------- |
