2yr old teething?

Andrew will not sleep..he hasnt slept in three weeks now.
he goes to bed fine but wakes almost every two hours and wakes screaming. I think he is teething. I noticed he sometimes appears to be drooling, I also notice his temperment is not so nice, how ever that could be due to not sleeping.
He also has bitten us a few times in the last few weeks.
I dont remember my other children going thru teething this late, and I cant see where he is getting more teeth, it seems like all the teeth are in...

could it be teething?

Sounds like teething to me... does he have his 2-yr molars yet? They will be in the very back, of course. He should have 8 teeth along the top and bottom each, then he'll get a set of molars sometime in his 3rd year, 1 set on the top and one set on the bottom.
I would give him a little tylenol or motrin and see if that helps. And maybe a frozen wet washrag, if he'll chew on that at this age.

I agree, it sounds like molars. Ashley really didn't have much trouble with teething until her molars came in. Nothing I tried gave her any relief until they finally popped through.

The other thing is you may want to have him checked for an ear infection. It sounds like teething to me, but it's always better to have it checked out.

Poor little guy, hope he feels better soon and you all get some sleep.

Yep, definitely sounds like 2 year molars to me!

My gosh, is he two already?! Where did the time go?
Is it possible that something is wrong with his ears? That can be very painful and can also cause drooling.
Whatever it is, hope it gets resolved soon.
Btw, do you have any amber beads? Sounds bizarre but they stop teething problems in their tracks. You don't have to let them suck on them, just putting them up to their skin makes the problem go away. It's one way to test if he's teething. The beads have to be real, genuine amber though, not simulated or fake.

Teething can also cause "ear infection" type symptoms that are over treated most times. Teething causes redness in ears and pain-like symptoms because the teeth area is swollen causing the ear area to swell.

Allie is two and a half, and is working on getting her two year molars. She's been grumpy off and on and has big bumps in the back of her mouth ~ she is a really slow teether. She's been working on them for at least a couple of weeks, and they still have not broken through.

i really cant see where any more teeth can fit in his mouth! I havent noticed any signs of ear pain at all. He is just up so much at night. I also noticed more biting on things.
I have been giving him freeze pops during the day, and motrin at night.
I also keep taking cold water to him in a sippy at night and it seems to help.

I just dont remember any of the other kids doing it.
