Alright, weekend was a bust! Saturday we went to the grocery store and bought a king cake blush.gif it was a small one but it was gone by that night! Plus the Saints were playing so I had to make salsa and cheese dip and we had Triscuits and pepperjack. So my dinner consisted of chips and dip, Triscuits and cheese and king cake....mmm yeah, REAL healthy! Oh and a strawberry margarita that DH so kindly went and got me!

Sunday I had to make breakfast for our Sunday School class so I made biscuits and a sausage and egg casserole. I had 2 biscuits and a small piece of the casserole. I think I had left over spaghetti for lunch and a salad for dinner. But I got a sweet tooth and made Kool Aid pie and had a very hearty slice of that for dessert!

So I guess it could have been worse, but the king cake and pie definitely blew it, so it definitely could have been better!

So far today only coffee. I might have Cheerios for breakfast cause I'm too tired for anything else. Thomas woke at 2:30 am and I slept with him in the guest bed until 4:30 when DH had to get up for work. Then I put him back in his bed and layed on the floor holding his hand until he fell asleep. Then I went back to bed and slept off and on from 5-8. snooze.gif

Yeah, it'll be Fridays, I just messed up this passed Friday so I'll truly start this week. I figure it's better than Monday for sure and that way if I did good I can kinda treat myself and if I didn't I'll know to keep it in check for the weekend!

You'd think I'd learn to eat breakfast! This morning I was lazy and just fed Thomas breakfast and planned on getting something at my MOPS meeting...well low and behold they had king cake! And of course I was starving so I had some sad.gif and I also had a few sausage stuffed rolls. BAD start to the morning.

Lunch
grits cause I was so cold I just wanted to warm up
Snack
Apple
Dinner will be gumbo....not horrible since I use FF dry roux but still not great, but it was DH's request and the weather is perfect for it! I made a HUGE pot but I'll be freezing about half.

It's so hard not to eat when we are around friends. I always associate food with friends. blush.gif It's a comfort thing, I guess. tongue.gif That's been my biggest hurdle. Even on the days Scotty is home I want to eat so much more-and so much more fattening stuff, too. Normally I don't eat enough in fear of eating too much of the wrong thing. wacko.gif

You know, it'd be really hard if I had a sweet tooth, but I don't like sweets. My thing is salt (which isn't good, either).

You'll get thru this...you really are doing great. wink.gif I know it's hard. hug.gif

I'm sorry, Naomi. hug.gif

Start with the things that motivate you.

If it's fitting into a certain size, hang up a pair of jeans or dress in that size.
If it's getting into a swimsuit by summertime, hang up a swimsuit

I get most of my motivation from old pictures of me, watching certain movies with thin actresses-it must be about the clothes. And from books, magazines, etc. Of course my 30th birthday is a huge motivation, so was my high school reunion and this wedding. But now that's so far from my mind. My main motivation now is not wanting to fail. laugh.gif I have to get where I want and I feel too good to look back.

A few months ago I could have cared less. Food is a major problem for me. I had to get back into the right mindset and I had to want it. It's not easy getting to that point. There are a lot of hurdles to jump, but you will get there. wink.gif

Have a cheat meal ONCE a week. Look forward to that meal and focus on eating right so you can get there. Make it your reward for being good all week. Of course after WI would be the perfect time to treat yourself. wink.gif Once that scale starts going down it will motivate you more. thumb.gif

hang in there, girl. We are all in this together! hug.gif

hug.gif Aimee is right, you really need to be in the right place for this mentally in order to be successfull. I know you can do it, it will just take a little time, maybe try planning your day out the night before or when you get up. hug.gif

Aww, you guys. I don't know if you saw this in the love and romance section but I'm putting it here also as a reminder for me:
DH just walked in from work with the new Bob Greene Best Life Diet book for me! I told him in WalMart the other day that I wanted it but I didn't buy it so he stopped and got it for me!! wub.gif Just the right time too, I needed it!!!

1 lb lost! It's a start, and it's not much but the most important thing is that I started my new book last night and I'm hoping that really helps. Technically I'm not supposed to get on the scale for a month....we'll see how that goes.
