Edie's post about humidifiers got me thinking! I have been doing research on these for Hanna's allergies. My grandparents have one since my g-ma is on oxygen and I can feel the difference in their air in their house because of the purifier! Does anyone have a purifier, especially anyone who got one because of allergies? If so, what brand do you recommend and did it work well? Thanks! smile.gif

We have one of the ion purifiers. It works well getting the dust and stuff out of the air but it gives off an ozone smell and I hate it. We put it in the basement and it did get the yucky feeling air out of the room but I have to concentrate to get past the smell

I agree about the smell Ion purifiers give off. It is naseauting for me - they use one at work and I turn it off during the day or else I would not be able to eat anything. Maybe that is not a bad thing - good weight loss plan. LOL

We have several. wink.gif Most of our small room ones are by Honeywell and we have a big one that I'm not sure the name on that one. We just decided to scrap all those and bought one that hooks up to our furnace and runs all year and cleams ehe air in the whole house. All of ours were recommended by our allergist and were bought online. We definitely will always have them for our kids.
