Now I haven't really seen the dots up close, but I have seen pictures of them and thought some might be interested in alternatives for them.

They are the same concept from what I can see.
You place beads on a pegged shape, (preshapes like dogs, suns, etc... or regular shapes such as circle, square, etc) and you have to iron them with a special paper so that they stick together. Robbie loves to play with these and actually so does Anthony so they are pretty good for all ages so long as there is supervision around for young ones.

They can be found at Walmart or Michaels from what I have seen and bought.

Thanks for the idea, Marie. I've seen those and they are very much the same concept. Olivia is pretty bummed about losing the set~she loves it and just got it last month for her birthday. growl.gif If it were just me, I'd keep it as O NEVER puts stuff in her mouth & we don't have young kids. I'm just afraid the dog will get ahold of them and there's no telling what it would do to him! Lord knows he's goofy enough already! tongue.gif

Has this product you're talking about been around for a while? I remember doing something similar as a kid, I know it involved plastic bead like things and ironing....

Sorry, I forgot about this thread and didn't see the question. I have no idea, I don't remember doing it as a child, but apparently from below, someone does.
