There is also news about Lettuce on the west coast being recalled...I know it reaches several west coast states. CA, OR, WA, AZ, NV those kinds of areas. It's California Lettuce is all I know.

I was just about to post this story....The things to remember are 1) Cooking meat properly will kill ecoli and 2) In the spectrum of meat consupmtion 5,200 lbs is nothing...I sure hope nobody gets sick either way.....

Thanks for the info... scary stuff. I think I am more scared about the spinach and lettuce scares right now. I love salads, but afraid to eat them. Washing will not kill the e coli. At least you can kill the e coli if you cook meat properly.

That is my concern. I LOVE salads...But at least with the lettuce - I know over here at least I am ok smile.gif I still can't bring myself to eat spinach.
