I bought some fresh green beans. I am wanting to make them in the crock pot. I know that I'll have to break off the stems, but have no clue how much water or what other ingredients to add. Maybe bacon?
HELP... Do you have any recipes that you like? -------------------- |

Dee Dee, I wouldn't put them in the crock pot. I would steam them. I would break off approx a 1/4 inch on the ends and wash them then put them in a steamer. Cooks in less than 5 mins. If you do not have a steam pot, you could boil water and drop them in for a few minutes. Cook to preferred doneness. If not that then after washing put in a glass bowl and pop in microwave for 3 to 5 minutes, again to preferred doneness. Serve with butter and salt & pepper to taste.
