We offer a free and confidential service where you can call and speak to a experienced genetic counselor who can answer any questions you might have concerning teratogens (a drug or chemical agent that might do harm to your unborn baby). These can cause birth defects, learning delays, and chronic illnesses in a developing baby. We answer questions about alchohol, cocaine, cigarette smoking, over the counter drugs and Rx drugs and pesticides.

We also answer questions concerning drugs and breastfeeding, if it might show up in the milk, how long, etc.

Our genetic counselors have 20+ years of experience. Our service has been around since 1996 and is based out of the University of North Texas.
