growth spurt changing eating?

The last 2 days Waylon has been SO crabby! Sleeping a lot, wanting to nurse every 2 hours or so, not content with anything. I figured it was just a growth spurt at first, but I'm not sure now because he hasn't been wanting his solids much at all. After a few bites he's done, and sometimes he won't take them at all. He's normally a pig when it comes to eating, but only the boob will do lately. Also, at night he's only been waking 1 one more time than normal to eat, not continuously like during the day.
Does this sound like a normal growth spurt pattern for BF babies that also eat solids, or do you think there may be something else?
By the way, there are no other symptoms - no fever or anything like that.

Is it possible he's starting to teethe already?

Yep, teething would be my first guess.

Before he started with the strictly bf-ing, I thought teeth, too. I actually even gave him some motrin for it just in case, but it didn't seem to help. Not saying that rules it out, of course, but it just made me think maybe it wasn't teeth.
The crazy thing is that he's had teething symptoms off and on since he was about 2 1/2 months. I will keep a close eye on his gums... maybe something will pop through soon.

I think you may be able to feel the teeth coming in if you feel his gums with your finger. Also, if you feel his gums and that makes him fussy then probably they are hurting him.

Both my girls teethed for months before getting a tooth. And they weren't consistent with their symptoms while teething. 9 times out of 10 it's teething, growth spurt, constipation or sickness. So if he doesn't seem sick, then it's probably one of the other.
