i was just wondering if the ultrasound tech ever been wrong about a baby being a boy?
did the tech ever made a mistake with any of your ultrasounds or anyone you know? just wondering because i only had 1 ultrasound at 18weeks and 6days and they said boy but this pregnancy as been so completely different than with my boys thanks in advance Sincerly, chloe-2005 |

They are usually not wrong when they say boy, because to say boy they actually have to see a penis. More often, they are wrong when they say girl.
However, nothing is 100%, and the tech could be wrong. But every pregnancy is different- both of my pregnancies were different (except for the morning sickness the first 6 months) and both were girls. Congrats whatever you are having! -------------------- Michelle

My second child was a girl for many weeks, thorough MANY u/s and now he is Matt
I also had a friend that was told BOY all along including a us the day before and sure enough he was a little girl. I still trust u/s for the most part but I am definately more cautios now -------------------- |

YEP, We were told and preped for Derek our son. we never had a secound u/s we didn't make it that long but when our child was delivered well..he was a she and the poor thing was stuck in boy gear until 6 months. Yeah, we were less then thrilled with the Dr. after that one

well i was told with my first that it was a boy clear up till like 3 wks before i delivered and by 3 different dr/techs and then finally the last dr (she was born overseas) said do you know what you are having, i said yeah a boy, he said um no your not! and he was right lol it was girl! i tell people she was a boy but her thingy fell off !

Just to add to everyone else's comments - yes, ultrasounds can be wrong. My DH's older sisters still tease him that he was supposed to be Gina Marie!
