I didn't have the support from nurses, health visitors etc with my 1st 2 children and so didn't sucessfully breastfeed, although they did have first few feeds through breast milk. On my 3rd child, however, I was at a different hospital and they were great and I breastfed, which was a wonderful feeling for me, I loved it, and when my milk went down, the doctor prescribed tablets to help build it up. I did give up for a few weeks too as I didn't know it was normal for him to want to feed constantly, but when I found out my milk was feeding him fine, I relactated, pumping every 2-3 hours for 10 mins a session for a few days until my milk came back in and I fed him until he was 6 months old. I would definately do it again, wonderful feeling and great for babies
