Just bumping, noticing some big siggies these days.

Here's the link again if someone wants to check the size of their siggy. ---This is a courtesy to those with dial-up. This should include Tickers as well.

I think mine my be to big too. any suggestions how to tone it down??

I think I fixed mine. I am so proud I figured it out. ( yes I know it was not that hard but I am not good with these things. ) Let me know if it is not small enough thanks!!

Edit to say that I am going to take my tickers off so now I know it will be fine. thanks

O.K. I need to make mine smaller. I would like to replace my tickers with some of those little "mini" boxes people have on theirs. (sorry, I don't even know what they are called) They have all sorts of messages in them, I hope you can figure out what I'm talking about, and could you let me know what web sites they can be found on? Thanks!

Do you mean something like this--->? If so it's called a blinkie. You can get them if you google blinkie sites. I made this one. But that's what they are...blinkies.

UGH! I hate this! Everytime I make one it never fits. If i resize it it end sup being so tiny that you cant' read it. Oh well guess I'll just leave teh ticker in there and forget teh pictures.
And i dont' want anyone making one for me, cause it kinda takes teh fun out of it for me.

As a Newbie WITH dialup I first had more trouble on this site than I ever have on any other site I've been to. So Yep! theres some massive signatures here.

Some of the Signatures are so picture & video filled here that certain threads actually froze up my computer if those members had more than one post on the same page. Trust me image size has nothing to do with it, a sig can be small yet have links to 15 different pictures and 3 tickers and that equals a 45 minute download time for ONE page to a dialup user.

Most would simply say.....Well why don't you get D.S.L or broadband/satelite then? Believe it or not there actually are places in the country that STILL have no access to D.S.L or broadband. And satelite here would cost over $700.00 for the installation equipment PLUS be over $70.00 per month. I like my internet! But not THAT much.

Anyhoo.........

I can not expect the rest of the world to conform THEIR internet to fit my needs!
(But its sure nice of the Mods here to try and keep it in check)

I would suggest IF there are any other members like me that live under a rock in a cave. Simply go to your 'Control Panel' then click 'Board Display Settings' and set the first few choices to speed up your surfing on this site,

Do you wish to view members signatures when reading topics? [No]

Do you wish to view images in posts, such as smilies and posted images? [No]

This will speed up your page upload time tenfold!
IF you ever want to read all the signatures or pic's just look Before you log in and you'll still see them all.
