Thanks everyone for the suggestion for this forum. I think it was an excellent idea when it was originally proposed and I apologize that I got side-tracked. Thanks Karen for bumping up the suggestion again.
Now, let's talk about going green -- I am anxious to hear your ideas! -------------------- |

My little green move for the day: I went out and finally purchased stainless steel water bottles for each of my kids so we can remove ourselves from the BPA-laden, landfill clogging plastic water bottle parade. I know plastic bottles are technically recyclable, but dh has been ranting about how a very large proportion of ostensibly recyclable material still winds up at the landfill with the rest of the trash. People sort and separate, but a lot of times, it all gets mixed together by the sanitation company behind our backs as a cost saving measure. Furthermore, the plastic used in the newer, cheaper, flimsier water bottles is very unstable--too hot or too cold in the car and BPA is most definitely leeching into the water you're drinking.

I bought a cloth bag yesterday when stocking up on a few things that were very low prices, so I saved by not using plastic and now I can use it everywhere. I want more but have to buy them here and there when I can afford the little extra $
