meet the parents, uhh im scared..

So a week ago jon and I popped by his parents to get a TV for my condo. I had met his dad before and he is super sweet, so no biggie there. well his mum was home. *enter the fear of god!* this woman is well known for being a "girlfriend eater" she had his brothers wife crying in a cupboard before they got married. Jons last fiance and her fraught all the time. So anyway I met the devil in the flesh and ......she liked me
That was a quick hello and minor conversation.
Apparently she never asks him about the girls he dates or meets ( remember they do NOT get along) Yesterday he went to their house to pick up some stuff and his mum asked about me. Not only did she ask about me, she admitted she thought i was very sweet and well mannered.
She told jon to bring me over for dinner!!
Jon was SHOCKED and now i'm petrified!
she thinks i'm some good catholic girl and yada yada. Has no idea mya even exists. Trying to figure out how to explain that whole deal with brad without sounding like a drama train!. Not even gonna mention That jon has basically moved in with me..lol.

First good luck to you. Second, you don't owe anyone any lengthy explanations about Mya or anything else. You have a beautiful child, the relationship wasn't so beautiful, and that is it. She may surprise you or she may not. But you won't be able to gain her acceptance if she just won't give it, and if she won't give it for any reason, including Mya, then it is her loss.

JMHO. But I do hope all goes well. It sure makes it easier when everyone gets along!
