I worked up until I had the baby, although, i am only part time, so really I do't work that much. I think it depends on what your job is like , and how you are feeling. I personally didn't want to waste any of my maternity leave, I wanted as much as possible for after the baby was born.

with my first dd, i worked until august 1st and she was due aug 18... well little bugger that she is, didn't come until the 29th after being induced! if i were working with my last pg, i probably would have worked until my due date since i have a history of going late. it is really up to you and what you feel you can handle... me, i can't stand doing nothing.. i go squirelly. wacko.gif

I was put on bed rest ... AGES ago, if it were up to me, I would work until my due date or until I went into labor ... lol just to get the most out of the time you have after the baby arrives.

Though, I will not be going back to work, just my input!

I worked up until 4 days before Logan was born. I work a 7on/7off schedule and I was all set to go back to work the following week. Logan was born halfway into my week off.

I think it would depend on your company policies, etc. How much maternity leave do you get all together? I'd think you could make good use of some time off before baby, but if doing that limits your time off after the arrival I don't think I'd go so early. Most places (around here) only give 6-8 weeks, so I'd hate to use half of it before the baby was here.
