Just curious, and since there are some parents of kids w allergies I thought I'd ask.
One of the parents of one of the girls at the kids sitter posted something on her Facebook talking about how her daughter will be on formula until she's 2. I guess why? She said she's allergic to soy and milk and maybe protein. So bc of that they have to keep her on formula? I wonder if it is the case though bc she's ate "normal" food w out reaction at the babysitters bc she never told the babysitter stuff to avoid. -------------------- |

Casey, my son Jakob had protein allergies to milk, soy, rice. So he was unable to have any other milk.
He had a special formula until he was able to tolerate each one. So yes it's possible and some kids can stay on this formula until they are 10! It's awful. It's also $400 for 8 cans, We had to give Jakob a type of antihistamine several times a day to help him tol. The formula. -------------------- Stacy, wife to Peter, mom to Caleb, Jakob, and Andrew

But Stacy, if this is the case then there are LOTS of foods that she wouldn't be able to eat right? I mean you are/were VERY careful in giving him food, right? If she were that allergic, wouldn't you think she'd tell the babysitter and make sure there was food to eat? I saw her Saturday (the mom) and she laughed and told me how Bekah ate almost an entire Sub Sandwich herself. I'm sure there'd be allergens in that right? Cheese for one, the bread I'm sure isn't gluten free.... -------------------- |
