Mark called me beautiful last night on the phone wub.gif I dont think I have ever heard those words come out of a mans' mouth before sleep.gif I told him that i hope he doesnt mind me hardly waering make up as i am not a big fan of the stuff (plus my face is pretty sensitive). and that i usually only wear it on special occasions, like weddings, holiday celebrations. Thats when he said i dont need it as im naturally a beautiful woman!

K guys did all your hubbies start off this sweet and then once you marry they kinda let go of all the mush? Be honest wink.gif

honestly they do tend to lose it, sure DH will still comment here and there about how I look or something but not nearly as often as when we were dating. Now we have been together for nealry 15 years and married 12 of them (man that manke me sound old). Also to be fair I dont call him cutie/sexy as much as I use to either.

ps he is right you are beautiful.

oh and I perfer not to hear it all the time, for me it means more when he says it out of the blue, to me thats how I know he really means it.

I was that sweet in the beginning but yes not as much now. I still give her compliments and am always giving her affection. You just fall into that comfort zone I guess.

Well I can't speak for everyone here - but yes the novelty does wear off - I remember hte dating days and you could kiss for hours at the front door saying goodbye, all the sweet compliments, et etc........it does wear off sorry. But if it is right it will turn into a different kind of affection

15 years later (almost 13 married) --he is still full of compliments. They are not always about how I look--sometimes it is being a good mom or other things I do but my DH never lets me forget that I am special wub.gif

Okay, my DH is out of town...if her were here leaving socks everywhere I may not be so sweet.

Well Dh turned on the charm in full force for the 1st year or so. Then after that he realized he "got the girl" and quit his charming ways. rolleyes.gif He still compliments me from time to time and has other ways of showing his appreciation of me, how much he loves me, etc but not like he was when we were first going out. I miss that.

laugh.gif YOu are adorable! laugh.gif

Dh started off being a total cheese-ball with the sweet words. It was annoying, so I told him to stop.....then I missed it, so it started back up again. LOL laugh.gif But now that we're married and have 2 kids.....I'm lucky to get a kiss and told I love you. rolleyes.gif

Andrew is still super mushy with me.

Calls me beautiful, sexy, precious, tells me all the "sweet" things, and leaves me love notes and stuff like that.

DH still says nice things to me, he's the same as when I first met him..he was kind of shy when we first started going out, and even when we first got married. He was to shy to just kiss me when he wanted, he only kissed me occassionaly..most of the time I was the one kissing him. He would kiss me back, but he didn't want to be the one to start the kiss... Now he's not shy around me anymore, he'll go to leave in the morning and say "What about my kiss?"...sometimes I'll walk away just to annoy him, but he chases me emlaugh.gif

Mark sounds like a great guy thumb.gif
