Ok, my mom came over so I could go grocery shopping (desperately needed, I so hate going). While she was gone, she tried giving her a bottle of breast milk. She wouldn't touch it! I came home and she nursed just fine.

She's going to HAVE to take a bottle eventually. How do you get her to do that??? We're using Playtex VentAires BTW (slow nipple)

hug.gif no advice just wanted to offer a hug. I had that issue with Isaia, he would starve before he would take a bottle. I hope you figure it out smile.gif

You might have to experiment with a couple of type of nipples to see which one she likes best. I can’t remember which Playtex style I used but I do remember them being kind of flat on top.

we had that problem with andrew also, and he would rather cry his head off then take a bottle and it was really really hard..
but we finally found a bottle that he would take, its the dr browns, and many moms since have said that breast fed babies do take best to these...

they come in glass also so you dont have to worry about the bapa dangers.

and what also helped was that for one whole day only daddy and grandma could feed him, I wasnt allowed because if he smelled me he wanted me..so let someone else feed her.

and mom, remember you are tired, and just feeling frustrated because of the tiredness, you are doing things just right. and it will all work out, it always does, and worrying about it wont get it done any faster.

kellymom was a big help for breast feeding advice when I did it.
and the moms here!

I hear the Playtex drop in bottles with the flexible nipples are great for BF babies too. Like someone else said, it is trail and error until you find one that she will take to. smile.gif
