I usually buy the "cheekie" underwear at VS, I think that's what they are called. The silky/lace boy short style. But I was looking for just some simple cotton kind to wear to the gym. So DH and I went into VS last weekend and I picked out five pairs from the Pink line. I washed them and wore my first pair today....And I'm so NOT impressed!!! The cotton feels sorta stiff, not soft at all, and they shrunk a ton too much. AND when I put them on, there is a bit of lace up front and my finger went through the lace and it TORE!!! No kidding. First time wearing them. Five pairs for $25, I can't expect too much, but still. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
Anyone else try them and have this problem? I'm a little afraid to wear any of the other styles I bought now. Not happy, not happy at all...But I already washed them and took the tags off. I have to tell you, I was pretty weary about them from the start, but DH insisted I get the boy shorts with "Go Mustangs" on the butt! -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01

The pink stuff is kinda ehhh. I honestly only go to VS when i need "bedtime" wear so my few experiences with their undergarments for everyday have been alright. I do have some pink brand clothes and they aren't very sturdy really...sorry they were such a downer for you.

That's a good point. I shouldn't knock 'em if I haven't tried the others. But man, a hole in the lace in just one wear?! -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01

I haven't had any problems with them, either. I usually just get the 100% ones- I'm not a fan of lace- too itchy.

Thats what I normally wear and I don't think I've ever had a problem with them. Although, I did tear the lace on my stockings from there the day I bought them... that made me sooo mad, so I kinda know how you feel!

Hmm, I LOVE the Pink line and have never had an issue. Maybe you got a bad pair?
If you're looking for comfy pairs, have you tried Gap underwear? I typically don't buy it there, but do have a few pairs I'm quite happy with for everyday undies. This post has been edited by Brias3 on Aug 12 2007, 02:54 PM -------------------- |

Oh I have several pairs from Walmart too and actually love them! Well you all were right... ...Must just be that ONE bad pair. Because the rest seem much more soft and comfy. I'm wearing some now and they are all good. -------------------- Rae SAHM to Wil (4) and Wesley (2) ~ Wife to Richard 10/20/01
